McCartney interviews Doris Day: Phase one in which Doris gets his notes
Sir Paul McCartney's interview with Doris Day in today's Daily Telegraph made me feel uncomfortable. If Macca phrased his questions the way they are printed then he shouldn't give up the day job. I feel embarrassed at the way he fawned like a fan. His questions told Doris what she already about herself and then he posed his query.
The idea of Paul McCartney and Doris Day in conversation is a sound one for a feature but the execution didn't work. Day's answers were pretty mundane. Was the interview conducted by email? Forget Doris Day, Paul, stick to Yester Day.
